- Square piece of felt

- Two small glue sticks (optional)

First time I’ve ever done punch needle. Finished all the punching, haven’t done the gluing part yet. Liked it enough, will likely buy a refill kit and try another. Comes with QR code link to a thorough training video (walkthrough). Things I learned to look for when my punches weren’t stcking: 1) check needle tension , mine unknowingly slipped down to 3 instead of recommended 7; 2) the finger grip on the needle slides down preventing you from doing a full punch (you can see this happening in the training video to her own needle - look at the purple thing); 3) you will not be able to get the fabric tight enough once its slips out of the original hooping - you’ll just have to do the best you can and pull it taut with your hand. Had frustration with the first two issues until I realized what was happening, and we were warned it would get loose for the third item. Even though mine looks sloppy, still had fun, and as I said earlier, now I want to do more.
